What is the difference between PVD coating and CVD coating?

PVD coating:

Principle: By physical methods (such as evaporation, sputtering) the material is converted from a solid to a gaseous state, and then deposited on the surface of the substrate.

Advantages: low coating temperature, suitable for metal, ceramics and other materials; Environmental protection and no pollution.

Application: hardware decoration, watch, tool coating, etc.

CVD coating:

Principle: A film is formed on the surface of the substrate by chemical reaction.

Advantages: coating adhesion is strong, suitable for complex shape of the substrate.

Applications: semiconductor, optical devices and other fields.
Both have their own advantages, and the choice should be determined according to specific needs.
