Vacuum coating technology is a process in which materials are deposited on the surface of the substrate by physical or chemical methods in a vacuum environment. PVD: The material is converted from a solid state to a gaseous state by physical methods (e.g. evaporation, sputtering) and then deposited onto the substrate surface.
CVD: The formation of a thin film on the surface of the substrate by chemical reaction.
