What is vacuum coating technology

Vacuum coating technology is a process in which materials are deposited on the surface of the substrate by physical or chemical methods in a vacuum environment. It can form a uniform, dense film, which is used to improve the wear resistance, corrosion resistance, optical properties of the substrate. Common vacuum coating techniques include PVD (physical vapor deposition) and CVD (chemical vapor deposition).
 
PVD: The material is converted from a solid state to a gaseous state by physical methods (e.g. evaporation, sputtering) and then deposited onto the substrate surface.
 
CVD: The formation of a thin film on the surface of the substrate by chemical reaction.
Vacuum coating technology is widely used in electronics, optics, aerospace, automotive, decoration and other industries, is an indispensable surface treatment technology in modern manufacturing.
